Windrush Celebrations

We are getting ready for Windrush Day, June 22, when our writer Trish Cooke will be celebrating online with readings from some of her children's books and during this October's Black History Month we'll be online with a new docudrama tracing the lives of the Windrush people and their children.
Here's the links that will take you to the Windrush Day video  https://vimeo.com/430443822  and https://youtu.be/t-uVX7mGuwg
As soon as we can we will be working live in schools and community venues with our interactive and immersive performance of an original play by Trish Cooke. Through a clever blend of personal stories and folklore references, we will share the historical experience of West Indians travelling from the Caribbean to Britain. As the tale comes dramatically to life, audiences will become part of the story, and differences of opinion  will be exposed, raising questions for exploration and discussion.
We will be bringing this piece to schools and community venues just as soon as we can but meanwhile watch out for our Windrush day online celebration.
